As you can see from my blog and my Instagram that I love shooting personal branding and lifestyle headshots! What is personal branding? A personal branding photoshoot are a series of images that represent the face of your business. At your session you will take photos that fits your brand and business while using props and poses that fit your style. You as the business owner then uses those images for your website, blog, social media, products, and printed marketing materials. When you share photos of yourself on those platforms you get more engagement from your clients because they see the person behind the business while you gain their trust. And that was the purpose of this photo session. So clients can see the designer behind these gorgeous gowns!
Julia Marie Chew, Xiaolin is a vibrant young fashion designer based out of Tampa, Florida and specializes in couture feather dresses and capes inspired by nature and fairytales. Her imaginative designs are showcased on the runway, red carpet, and magazines across the globe. Recent achievements include showing collections at Oxford Fashion Week (UK), Christian Fashion Week (US), and Park Avenue Fashion Week (US). Xiaolin feather gowns have been featured on the covers of multiple magazines and been highlighted in fashion editorials both in print and online at Buzzfeed, Rangefinder, and Vogue.
Here are a few of my favorite lifestyle headshots I took of Julia during her session. She even made the dress she was wearing during her portrait session. And can we talk about hair goals?! I mean could she be any more beautiful!! We did the session here in Tampa at the University Campus, its such a beautiful location for photo sessions. We did a combination of traditional natural light headshots and several with props and a few of her sketching a new gown she is working on. I am in love with how these photos turned out and I hope you like them as much as I do!
