Wedding at Rutledge Chapel in the University of South Carolina Horseshoe

Once again I am sharing with you a gorgeous wedding from Columbia, SC that I got to shoot with my good friend Jillian Banks owner of Backyard Photography, based out of Lexington, SC. I love when I get a chance to work with Jillian because she is hilarious and we just work really well together at weddings, I swear we read each others minds sometimes. So when she asked me to second shoot for her at Richard and Victoria's wedding I was super pumped about working with my photography BFF again!

The wedding ceremony was a full catholic wedding with all of the traditions of a catholic wedding ceremony. Richard and Victoria chose not to see each other before the she walked down the isle at the Rutledge Chapel. So it was extremely important that we captured the looks on their faces the first time they saw each other. After the ceremony was over we took all of the bridal party photos at The Horseshoe inside of the USC campus. It was also graduation weekend for many of the alumni that day, so we had to work round hundreds of people during the bridal party photos, but it worked out fine and we got some great shots!

Bridesmaids look stunning in their mix and match gold sparkly bridesmaids dresses and of course Victoria stole the show in her white fit and flare wedding gown, and her pink Badgley Mischka bridal shoes, she was a stunning bride! And all of the groomsmen looked handsome and dapper in their classic cut navy suites. Richard looked extra handsome in his matching suite. The florals were gorgeous with draping orchids and other flowers in shades of purple (Victoria's favorite color) shades of pinks and ivory.

After the bridal party photos were done we headed to their wedding reception site, The South Carolina Alumni Center. We had the chance to steal Richard and Victoria away for a few minute to head up to the rooftop for some skyline photos. Then it was party time! They had amazing food from my favorite Columbia, SC caterer, Southern Way Catering (that food is seriously amazing) and they danced they night away before they headed off to their honeymoon.

I loved being apart of this wedding and as always I loved working with Jillian again. I hope you love these photos as much as I do!
