Hi I’m Nina the owner of Nina Bashaw Photography, wife of 20 years to an amazing man and mom to three spoiled fur babies. Although I have been professionally shooting weddings and portraits for twelve years, my passion for photography started when I was a young child with a film camera. Even though I shoot digital now, film is what made me fall in love with photography and it created my appreciation for prints. My other passion is people! Although I was born and raised a southern girl, my husband and I have lived in various cities around the country and I've learned that the most fascinating part is always the people. I love capturing the special moments like, teens preparing for graduating, couples getting married or celebrating an anniversary, or those celebrating a job promotion with updated headshots. Through whatever special moment in life you want to capture, my goal is to capture your best angles and most genuine smiles. I have spent years developing my skills as a portrait and wedding photographer. One thing I spent a great deal of time on is studying and perfecting the art of posing, it is what I am best at. I pride myself on being able to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera while I guide you through the posing process. My shooting and editing style is a combination of romantic and timeless with a fine art film aesthetic. I spend a great deal of time during the culling and editing process so that you can see the best version of yourself through my lens. I want you to love your images for a lifetime and tell your story though photos. You tell me your vision and I will work hard to bring it to life!
I accept a limited amount of weddings per year so I can give each and everyone of my clients an amazing and personalized experience. Although I am based out of Tampa, Florida I travel worldwide for weddings and elopements. When I'm not working I love to exercise, cook with my husband, go wine tasting, travel, spend time with my sisters, and cuddle with my fur babies.
If I wasn't a photographer I would be doing something creative. I would be an interior designer or something that gives me the chance to create something beautiful.
I love all these pretty and feminine, which means I'm a shoe lover and a nail polish hoarder.
I am completely and totally obsessed with plants. It's a new adventure of mine, but I have fallen in love with any variety of succulents! I think they are the coolest plants.
My life is very much dictated by food, it's what motivates my life and what a lot of daily decisions revolve around. Some of my favorite foods include beef tartare, sea food, and I love a good salad! I'm not a huge dessert person, not because I don't love it but because I try to limit the amount of sugar and dairy I eat. But you put a small dish of Créme brûlée in front of me I will devour it. I also call myself a half vegan because I try really hard not to eat dairy but I can throw down on some steak.
I love music! I am a huge believer that music is deeply connected with our emotions. Sometimes my husband and I will turn off the TV and play "Name That Tune".
I am horrible at spelling. I have to ask Siri on a regular basis how to spell things. Thank goodness for spell checker otherwise my blog posts would make no sense.
