How to plan the perfect proposal!

Engagement season is right around the corner! So if you are planning to propose soon but need a little advice on how to plan the perfect proposal here are a few tips!

1: ARE YOU GOING TO ASK HER PARENTS FOR THEIR BLESSING?

Some couples are very traditional while others not so much, each situation is different. Traditionally, the father mother of the bride of the bride would be the ones you would "ask permission" to propose to their daughter. If your future bride is from a close family it's probably a good idea to talk to her parents ahead of time. If she is "non traditional" you have the option of asking a sibling or close friend. And if this step seems like a stretch in general, you can skip it. Either way think about what makes sense for you as a couple.

2: PICK OUT THE RING

Choosing a ring is a very important piece of the proposal, and for us girlie girl, easily one of our favorite parts of the engagement process! . Depending on your couples style you might look at rings together ahead of time so you know what she likes. If you want to keep it a surprise you can enlist the help of a trusted friend to find out what she likes. If you have had the "getting engaged" conversation with your girlfriend believe me she has already had the conversation with her friends about what kind of ring she wants. Her friends can defiantly help point you in the right direction! Make sure to know her ring size so she can immediately start wearing the ring.

3: ASK A TRUSTED FRIEND FOR HELP

Planning the proposal can take some coordinating, so ask a trusted friend that can keep the secret to help you plan out the day and keep things running smoothly. Perhaps taking her to get a manicure so her hands are picture perfect, and then having that friend take her to the proposal location. Choosing someone that you can trust and that can remain calm and not blow the surprise!

4: CAREFULLY CHOOSE THE RIGHT LOCATION

Choosing the right location for the proposal plays an important roll, you want it to be memorable and meaningful to you both. If it seems appropriate and fits your vision you could choose where you had your first date, the beach, a park, or even in your own back yard. If you choose a public location make sure to think about the time of day and how busy the location will be. If you want it to be a private and intimate moment then consider a private venue or hiring a wedding planner to dress up and stage your back yard or home.

5: HIRE A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER

Other than the wedding day your proposal will be one of the most important of your lives. Hiring a professional Tampa elopement photographer means you’ll be able capture that moment in time forever! It's also a great way for your family and friends to feel apart of the proposal. You can share the photos with them so they can see the moment she said YES!
