10 Must have getting ready shots for your wedding day

Walking down the aisle, the first dance, cutting your wedding cake, toasts, these are the moments you usually think about when you imagine your wedding day. But don’t discount your day of pre wedding time, when you are all getting ready as you anxiously wait to marry your best friend. You’ll defiantly want your Augusta wedding photographer to capture these behind the scenes getting ready shots.

1. Hair and Makeup :

More than likely your wedding will be the most photographed days of your life. So make sure to have your Columbia wedding photographers capture all the pampering and primping that went into your look.

2. Putting on your perfume :

Now of course you want to look good on the big day, you want to smell good, too. If you have a signature sent you’ve worn for years make sure to have your Greenville photographers getting a photo of you putting on that perfume!

5: Pinning your veil on :

These are often some of my favorite shots of the day! Usually the mother or maid of honor has this task. It’s a beautiful and emotional image because its generally taken moments before you have your first look with your groom. Also your veil may be the most elaborate piece of wedding day attire and take make for beautiful detail shots!

6: Strapping up your shoes :

Shoes polish off the whole look, so make sure to have that moment captured as you put them on or have your bridesmaids help strap them on.

7: Putting your jewelry on :

Nothing like a classic set of pearls or diamond necklace and earrings to polish off your wedding day look. Putting on your jewelry can make for some stunning getting ready photos.

8: Cheers :

Having a candid and fun shot of you and your bridesmaids with your mimosas is such a cute and fun photo! Especially if your champagne glasses are pretty or monogramed!

Once you are dressed and ready to walk down that isle, get your parents reaction on film before anyone else sees you. That moment is priceless and often emotional so make sure to be wearing waterproof makeup and have tissues close by!

10: A moment to yourself :

You’ll want to have a few moments to yourself before you walk down the isle or have your first look with your groom. Having a few moments to yourself for reflection can be relaxing and can calm your nerves.
