One of my favorite things as a Tampa food photographer is getting the opportunity to showcase the artistry behind a well-crafted cocktail—and that’s exactly what this session with Falabella Family Bistro in Wesley Chapel delivered. Their bar menu is packed with fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and beautifully styled drinks that were as fun to photograph as they are to sip. Shot on-location at the restaurant, this food and beverage shoot highlighted their most popular drinks—from smoky and dramatic to light and refreshing. Here's a peek at what we captured:
Spicy Strawberry Margarita at Falabella Family Bistro
This bold and vibrant cocktail is as flavorful as it looks and so much fun to photograph with all the beautiful colors, a true food photographers dream! Fresh muddled strawberries and house-made jalapeño-infused tequila come together for a sweet-heat combo that’s visually stunning. Finished with a chili salt rim and a fresh slice of lime, it was one of the most dynamic drinks of the session—perfect for adding energy and color to their bar menu visuals.
Lemon Drop Martini
A timeless classic with a zesty twist. This Lemon Drop was poured into a chilled martini glass rimmed with sugar, offering the perfect balance of citrus bite and smooth vodka. With its sunlit yellow hue and crystal-clear clarity, this drink brings elegance to any cocktail lineup.
Smoked Old Fashioned
Smoky, moody, and full of atmosphere—this drink stole the show. Served under a glass cloche filled with smoke, this Old Fashioned was a photographer’s dream. The deep amber tones of the bourbon, garnished with orange peel and cherry, were enhanced by the swirling tendrils of smoke. It’s the perfect visual for marketing a premium experience.
Blackberry Mojito
Refreshing and fruity, this drink pops with vibrant color. Fresh mint, lime, and muddled blackberries are stirred with rum and soda water for a fresh take on a summer favorite. I styled it with crushed ice and mint sprigs to highlight its cool, crisp profile—ideal for social media and seasonal promotions.
Red Wine & Sangria
Both classic pours, these drinks bring a sense of warmth and hospitality. The red wine was styled in a bold stemmed glass with rich lighting to emphasize its depth and texture. The sangria—fruity, bright, and garnished with fresh citrus—was a splash of casual sophistication perfect for brunch or happy hour marketing.
Espresso Martini
Velvety and luxe, this espresso martini was the perfect mix of smooth vodka and rich coffee liqueur. Served with a signature three-coffee-bean garnish and a creamy layer of froth, it brought a moody, elegant close to the session. It’s the kind of drink that demands attention both on a menu and in photos.
