In an era of unread texts, left-on-read DMs, and disappearing emails, ghosting has unfortunately become a common form of communication, or lack thereof. But just because it’s common doesn’t mean it’s okay, especially when it comes to professional relationships.
As someone who works with a wide variety of clients, from branding shoots for small businesses to full wedding coverage. I've seen the effect ghosting can have, not just on me n the wedding industry as a Sarasota wedding photographer and a Tampa branding photographer for small businesses, but in a professional creative field of businesses in general.
What Is Ghosting, Anyway?
Ghosting is when someone stops responding with zero explanation. No “thanks, but we’ve decided to go in another direction,” or “our plans changed.” Just… silence. Unfortunately branding photographers are no exception to this trend.
